MMP SYMPOSIUM Back to the people

With "Industry 5.0", the EU Commission is making a U-turn in industrial policy: The report presented by the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation on January 7, 2021, calls for sustainable, resilient and, above all, people-centered industrial production. This will have far-reaching consequences - for the use of technology, for future forms of human-machine interaction, for the design of value chains and for the education and training of the required skilled workers.

The MMP Symposium will shed light on the background to the new European strategy, discuss the implications for individual companies, present a wide range of technologies and showcase best practice examples for the future-proof design of the interaction between man, machine and production.

Review MMP Symposium 2020

The first MMP Symposium took place on October 14, 2020 as part of the Future of Manufacturing virtual. For an entire day, our experts from renowned companies, including PROFACTOR, Fraunhofer Research, BRP Rotax, Kapsch and many more, analyzed the importance of assistance systems in manufacturing. Antonio Krüger from DFKI (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence) presented approaches and topics for a future with AI in production. Oliver Korn from the University of Offenburg and Steffen Scholz from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology brought scientific aspects to the point. Three expert groups and a panel discussion rounded off the program.
